Card condition guide
Every card listed on 1624 Cards is graded by hand and photographed — the scan you see is the exact card that ships. Use this guide to understand each condition grade.
Near Mint
The card is in essentially perfect condition. No visible wear, scratches, or marks.
- No visible edge wear or whitening
- Surface is clean, no scratches or scuffs
- Corners are sharp and intact
- No creases, bends, or folds
- Print quality is crisp and undamaged
Lightly Played
Card shows very minor signs of use. Nearly indistinguishable from Near Mint without close inspection.
- Barely perceptible edge wear on one or two corners
- Surface is clean with no visible scratches
- No creases or bends
- Corners still sharp to the eye
Moderately Played
Card shows light play. Noticeable on close inspection but still presents well in a sleeve.
- Light edge wear or whitening on multiple corners
- Possible light surface scuffs visible under direct light
- No creases or structural damage
- Tournament-legal in a sleeve
Heavily Played
Card has significant signs of play. Clearly worn but structurally intact.
- Noticeable edge wear or whitening on most corners
- Visible surface scuffs or scratches
- Possible minor creases that do not affect legibility
- Playable in a sleeve
Damaged
The card has structural damage. Sold as-is for collection purposes only.
- Tears, holes, or missing pieces
- Heavy creases or folds affecting the card face
- Water damage or staining
- Heavily bent or warped
